This video is demonstrating one of the random disasters that can occur. The Griefer Disaster is a unique one because it leaves behind damage and destruction after the griefers have come and gone… just like normal griefers… It drastically reduces the last value of 3 plots, throws some TNT on it AND dumps the lava pillars on it. Now the only way to remove the lava pillars is to find the Griefer Clean service in the city. Griefer clean has a bunch of outlets so you should be able to find one… if not well you’ll just have to find a way to get them in the city!
Every weekend from now on I’ll be releasing a video on Simburbia. So if you’re interested in Sim City in Minecraft, then stay tuned! Of course you could just subscribe to Jigarbov on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/jigarbov)… but there will be additional information right here with each update.
Extra update!
rsmalec released a music video of Simburbia Dreamin’! Listen to the beautiful sounds of his voice.
Hey Jig! I love this map so much, but i wanted to ask about the griefer clean buttons. I’ve only used them about 2 times but recently it hasn’t been working. I restarted the game and all that but the buttons just are not doing anything anymore. (I have 6 very annoying plots over-flowing with lava). I would love to know if you have a solution, or anything you can suggest.
Bad news by the sounds of it you loaded the map in a different version of Minecraft. The only way the buttons will stop working like you describe is if the command block dispensers stopped dispensing. Sorry! I wish I could update it for the current version of Minecraft but the time investment would be just too great.
I honestly just love your maps, Jig. From the Erenov series, to City of Love, to The (slighty laggy) Juggler’s Balls. It is your originality and presentation of these maps that landed you in my Top 5 Mapmakers list. In fact, I think these maps are so great, AND that I’ll be counting the days until THIS awesome map comes out, that I’ll try to play almost I’ll of these on my channel, soon! In fact, when this map comes out, I’m going to try to be in the Top 10 of people to record it! Good luck, Jig! And say hi to Jarig for me!
Thanks so much for the good comments! If you do make an LP on it be sure to tweet me and Ill watch the series! I’m looking forward to watching peoples reactions when disasters strike. (Jarig says hi too, though he wishes he could finally get out of the cauldron)
id love to help in any way i can i look up to all you redstoners and it would be a great honor if i could help in anyway because i have been trying for years to make something like this
Thanks for the offer but I’m doing ok 🙂 I hope you like the final product.
This looks exciting! Maybe you could add a server tower? It could add internet to resident plots, the better the speed and connection they have, the more boost they have? idk just a cool thing I came up with! ^-^ Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the idea! It’s a bit late to add too many more features like that but it’s a nice idea nonetheless… what do you think the server tower would do to the residences?
Weird… I didn’t get an email of the reply. Anyways, I think if you had a server tower, residential plots in a radius of 2 (including diagonal) would get a +1 boost. However, if you build a server tower the residential plots that are not getting the boost have a negative boost of -1.
So you can either build no server towers, or you could build a few so no residential plots are missed out (and have a negative effect).
