    Love playing simburbia, but I have a problem.. It says on the sign that I will get to build the fast travel build (the busstop thingy) at 600 population, i’m now at 1000 population, but the option is still not there! I’ve got the garbage dump, the weather station, and the super power plant (at least, the option..), so no problems there.

    Besides of that, love this map! Haven’t had any problems at all, and I love to “adventure” into the city when I get new tiers of buildings to see what new crazy things has come now šŸ™‚ Good job!

    • Odd, there are 2 ways to fix that (not sure why it isnt working for you) either go below 600 population and back over again… OR run this command (make sure you have enough money for the bus station) /setblock 283 235 -57 redstone_block

  11. Hey! I start the game and whatnot and buy a bulldozer for the water spring although there is NO water spring wtf. What do i do is it a glitch i do everything right šŸ˜€

    • Mojang in all their glory pushed an update to 1.8.5 and 1.8.6 which breaks the map. It works best in 1.8.3.

  13. Hey so every time i start the tutorial up, the natural spring doesn’t spawn in for me, so i can’t use the map at all. I’ve tried re-downloading the map a few times and nothings working. if someone could help that’d be awesome!

  16. HI! I would like to say that I really like your map, I haven’t tried it out myself, but I’ve been watching CaptainSparklez play it, and it looks REALLY fun! I like how you put in so many different Easter eggs, and you don’t let people off easy (like when disasters happen). it makes it complicated, but fun, so that it doesn’t get boring. I also want to say thank you for all your hard work!

  26. Whenever I play it works for a while then randomly i am no longer able to get tokens or teleport. It takes away the money for the token, but i never receive it. Anyone know how to fix this?

  29. I found an other bug Jigarbov,
    When buildings a Granted or Taxed (Is that the right term to use ?) When you use a Grant token or Tax token on a build then sometimes chest won’t spawn.
    On the first screen I had finnaly got the key to the chest and realized it wasn’t there anymore xD

  30. Sooo Jig… u have some good Power Plants and a good Jig Industry but… the Super Power Plant Great Work or somethin like that where do i get the materials from? i mean i found all the power plant ones… sooo its like this:
    Ray of light: Solar Power Plant
    The ******************** (he knows the almigthy monster but no one else here should knew!):Water Power Plant
    Wisp of Wind: Wind Power Plant (u need a tall building next to there so u can reach it)
    Jigarbov’s Redstone: Jigarbov’s Redstone Mine (an Industry plot pretty common)

  36. Hey!! I love this map!! More than the actual sims even šŸ™‚ I was wondering if it could be possible to give some sort of speed boost to the player? like permanent Speed 1(No particles)? I think it would make the map a lot more enjoyable, being able to move faster šŸ™‚

    • Well there are items you can use to increase your speed, as well as permanent speed shoes, you just gotta buy them from an upper tier shop šŸ™‚

  37. hey jigarbov i just recently downloaded simburbia and i really want to play it and when i extract the map to my saves folder it just doesnt appear in the game and u also said that it can also work for version 1.7 but its much easier when played on 1.8. So the version that i’m currently using is 1.7 forge with optifine and i cant play simburbia. What i can i do to solve this issue?

    • I’ve never said this completed map can work with 1.7. It cannot work with 1.7. That said, it should still appear in your save list. Just make sure you plonk the entire folder into the saves folder. Don’t open the folder, just put the whole thing in there.

  38. Um, it says to have a minumum render of 10 chunks… this is with 10 chunks….
    the max that 1.8 lets me display is 7 chunks without it becoming a giant clustereff like this. What exactly will I miss if i don’t have it on 10?
    And I will report this to Mojang so I can hopefully play.

    • It’s a Mojang bug. Isn’t anything I can do to fix it, the map will probably work, but don’t come to me about bugs if you do end up playing it on less than 10 render distance šŸ™‚

  39. jigarbov help me i had to restart on my server with my friends becaus i tried to buy something and it took the money but diddnt give me or my friends anything could you try updating it and making it more multiplayer compatable tabby u can make a button that choses the amount of players ur gonna do it with that would be nice

    • There are too many variables in this map to be compatible with multiplayer properly. Sorry! Who knows, maybe one day I’ll make a real multiplayer version where each player gets their own town….. naaah that would be crazy.

I have a story for an adventure map, but I can’t make it because I don’t have any Minecraft friends to help me out. I’ll tell you the story if you are interested in making it a map.

  42. Jigarbov, i am having an issue with the world. It lags so much (usually like 3 frames) if it doesn’t crash. And that’s the issue. It crashes every time I try to play. If you could find an answer please reply as soon as you can. Thank you.

  45. Its a great map, got so far that I builded that statue. I pressed the button of yours, disaster came and now I cant buy any plots of any kind. I think that’s a bug.. Didn’t notice any other bugs.
    You should also put some kind of tips where to get the stuff for Ultra Power Plant. šŸ™‚

    • And BTW if you buy 2 bullzones the game goes ahead of you. Like it wants you to buy commercial when you haven’t bought a residential yet.

  46. hey jigarbov something went wrong with the building / bulldozer buying system cos when i buy something if its at the main menu nothing happens and if its using the control book the it just says “trigger remote control changed with set”then a number depending on what i press on. plz help.

    • I’d like some more information, can you provide me with a save so I can take a look? Also what version are you playing in?

  47. Hey! Great map! I just have a question… How do I get rid of the lava? I pushed a button on an industrial zone and BAM lava fell from the skies and quite a few of my plots got demolished. I am just looking for a way to get around this and continue the awesome map you created.

  49. Maybe there should be churches or religious buildings, which is extremely expensive but makes the property values uprise. Or a defensive tower, which reduces the chance of a disaster. Thanks jigarbov!

  50. It’s a really great map, and by great I mean amazing.
    A few things:
    – Why do great works require materials? I need so much crap for a powerplant great works that i felt I spent too much money, I have absolutely no idea where to get them, so it’s worthless, minus the redstone. I’ve had the powerplant in the works for 9 in game years. -.-
    – OMG so many freakin disasters and abandons. It ruins the game. In the new simcity, all you had to do was demolish and the zone would be kept. It’s not too annoying. In simburbia you have to destroy the entire plot and zone, and replant it. When I have to destroy 5 plots a month and replant them, i’m not making any progress. Happens too much too. I can see it happening in a big city, but I only have 9 plots -.- .. Can’t wait to get to nearly filling the map. TLDR make it so disasters are not as common, ruining the game.

    Other than that, it’s a great map. Don’t let my rant make it sound like I think it’s a bad map, because by any means its not.

  54. Hey Jigarbov may I have a quick word with you? First of all, love the map; I’m having a fun time with it, and I blame you for what was supposed to an hour of game time turned into four. Haha. Anyway on to my reason for posting. I came across bug, or maybe I’m doing something wrong. I’m trying to get the bouncy castle(I think that’s what it’s called.) but after I put the shoping list items in, nothing happens. I’ve tried it twice, and I don’t feel like upgrading and downgrading plots to get all the items agian without asking you about this.

    • A few people have gotten it already, so I’m not sure what you could be doing wrong. If you’re up for it, I’d love to take a look at the save if you could upload it somewhere, give me a link, and I would take a look and see if something is broken.

      • I think I figured out what was wrong. So I read your reply and decided to give it one more go before sending my save to you. I tried downgrading and upgrading the plot to see if it would help, maybe reset it or something; it didn’t. So, as fed up as I was, I went into creative mode to check and see if maybe I messed up the redstone somehow, or you did, or maybe it messed up while downloading, or something. After breaking the hopper I found my answer. I didn’t get the manual. lol. I honestly didn’t know that was a thing.

  59. When I went to buy an item from the town hall, it would take my money, make the noise. But no item will pop up in my inventory. So I even did the remote and it wouldn’t work. Nothing is in my inventory but it’s making the noise and taking my money. What’s going on? D:

Hey, I’ve been working on the GW Power Plant, and managed to get all the materials (Hint for people who haven’t: If something sounds like it’s at a power plant, it probably is) except for one: The Dream Essence. I tried the hamster wheel power plant (which was as far as my logic went), and it wasn’t there, and the only other thing I think it could be is the custom GW, which I don’t want to edit because i put wooden doors on my build… and wooden doors attract villagers like light attracts moths. I assume it’s in one of the commercial plots, but I have no idea which one if it is in there… Can I have a hint xD

  63. This means the map is loading. You need to be patient and let it load, or it might just not work (especially if you don’t have a good PC)

  66. Why is it that if my original power plant is destroyed, I am unable to build another one in its place?

    • You should be able to, send me a link to a world download where this happened so I can take a look and find out why this happened to you.

      • It might have been a one or two time thing, because I tried bulldozing it and it was working correctly again. I guess I’ll just download the file again and hope it doesn’t happen. If it does, I will show you though.

        btw, it’s an amazing map. I’m enjoying finding all the easter eggs and references in the commercial and industrial zones šŸ™‚

  74. My first experience with a disaster was not a good one… I ended up randomly having a flood that destroyed my power plant that therefore ended up destroying everything i worked on for hours. (I’m new) So where do I go from here? Should I continue playing? (I really did enjoy the game experience) but risk another flood?

    • Disasters happen all the time, it’s you’re mayoral duty to try your best to mitigate them when they show up. If you’re money is too far in the negative though there isn’t much else you can do except for start again.

  76. Is the map available on Mac? If yes is it possible to have a video showing how to install it plz.

    • Click on finder. Then, click on the “Go” thingy on the bar at the top. while it is open press and hold alt/option. Click on Library-> Application Support->Minecraft. Now simply drag and drop/copy and paste the save file in the saves folder. Double click on the zip file to unzip it.

    • It is. You upload it like normal, and the map is on a random place in the world list.

  77. I do must say. This map is beyond amazing. I can imagine people coming up with ideas like this, but to build this, get it to work AND have it work with the very latest snapshot versions of minecraft… Amazing. I will look forward to any more projects you may have.

  82. For some reason when I open up the world, the first teleport crashes my game. After my fifth attempt I’ve just about completely given up. I’m giving it one more shot, but it REALLY isn’t working.

    • Yeah I thought about doing something like that the problem is that chunk loaders are not incredibly reliable over very long periods of time. I fear that even if the chunk loader was there it would still create some performance issues too if you tried to run it on slower computers. Easier and more reliable just to keep the minimum of 10 chunks loaded.

      • You shouldn’t even have to spam it. People should be smart enough to actually read about a map before downloading it, rather than just downloading it and playing it. If it is a map on some random website, it could potentially be a virus. (I’m not meaning to offend anyone, if I do, I am sorry.) Either way, I enjoyed the map and I think it is a lot of fun! Your my favorite map maker of all time. I would donate if I could, but I have other more important things that I need spend my money on. I’ve tried making maps on my own, and I think of pretty cool concepts, but it’s quite hard to build everything that I come up with, so I usually end up giving up. I am not good at building though, but I am good with redstone. I appreciate how much work and effort you have put into these maps that you have made for your fans and others. some people don’t understand how much work you put into map making, but I do. I enjoy your maps, so please don’t stop making them. They are amazing and you are a good map maker.

    • Yeah I wish that was the case but it isn’t possible with the way the system works. It can only tell what plots there are at the end of the month.

          • May I just say that this game has my full support it is a great game and a fun one to i like the amount of quality and special mechanisms and the items are really unique like the contructison zoning item it looks supper cool once again it is a great game and well worth downloading actually it should be on steam if your thinking about this game stop thinking just get it thank you for making minecraft better with this totally awesome game (I’m sorry if you consider this a spam if you do post a comment about it and I wont do long messages any more thank you)

          • I think I’ve found one of the sources that causes de-sync issues in a lot of videos I’ve been watching people have been getting de-sync issues because they can wander beyond the tree line so if its possible i thought you could build some kind of barrier but i don’t know weather its possible (and i don’t understand the verify thing because a spammer would do it fast so why do you have to do it fast so plz explain and also make it a little less laggy thx)

          • Hello Jigarbov, I’ve got a BIG problem, I download the map, I open the file, I put the Simburdia file in my saves files, I launch minecraft and load, I spawn, I find the very very hidden button but I can’t click on it, alle the button aren’t clickable (the hidden and the video) why ? I’m in solo

          • Weird, try redownloading the map? It’s a simple teleport command in that command block, nothing special.
