And now it’s time for something completely different. Back in the day when I began playing Minecraft I started a youtube channel and I loved making tutorials. I was making a lot of minecart stations at the time and they were super fun. After that I started making tutorials just on various redstone things in general and those early days were some of my favorites in Minecraft. This map was a blast to make as it took me back to those times. This map is for those who know nothing about redstone. If you’ve been intimidated by the sheer number of devices, or maybe just never took the time, this is your best time to jump in.
Purchase the map here: For iOS, Android etc Unless on windows 10, click here: minecraft://domain?showStoreOffer=G009SXGPR04R
Redstone Basics is now available on the Minecraft Marketplace on MCPE and Windows 10 Edition!
The tutorial is fully voiced and encourages you to get your hands dirty in a safe compelling environment. You don’t have to be worried about breaking things because it’s structured in a way to protect the important stuff, but still allow you the freedom to experiment with your tools. It also includes an endless sandstone world which has a couple of the more complex contraptions with annotated signs for you to disect.
Finally there are dozens of test rooms that contain every single Minecraft redstone component for you to play with. Never used an observer block? What exactly is a daylight sensor? Check them all out and get hands on directly instead of just reading pages of wikis. This map was going to release during Halloween because we all know what people find truly scary. Learning redstone however, doesn’t have to be scary, and you can learn it here.
Seems like the map cannot be loaded on Xbox One, keeps crashing the game
Many people have it and have run it just fine, I recommend reloading redownloading the world and trying again. Sometimes marketplace maps don’t install properly, just an issue with Minecraft itself right now and bugs that they are fixing.
I bought this when it was first released and I love it! It definitely helped me learn more about redstone in Bedrock Edition. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about redstone!
I’m curious about the 7 empty nether brick rooms and the 1 empty brick room that is cut off from the rest of the rooms. What was suppose to go in there?
Where is the download link?
Whoops! Links have been added 🙂
How do you get past the And gate? The other side has a lit torch and there’s no way to create anything in that same space. Thanks in advance for your help!
Depends which room you are in, if you’re at the first AND gate, the redstone torch goes on the side of the iron block. If you are in the final room, you have to put a piece of redstone dust on the red wool between the 2 torches on the top. Hope that helps 🙂
